In this series of posts, I am sharing some short thoughts from each chapter of Dallas Willard’s book The Great Omission and then some brief personal reflections.

Chapter Three: Who is Your Teacher?
In the world of information and much mis-information, we need to pay attention to the world’s greatest and most knowledgeable teacher, in who all wisdom abides – Jesus.  With Jesus as our life teacher, we learn from him why we live, how to live and how to involve him in our every day living.

Personal Reflection
I remember when I first started to get to know Jesus back in college in 1985. His words matched reality to the point that I decided to become his disciple. I have been seeking to follow Him ever since. Each passing year I learn more of his unbelievable wisdom for life and grow in appreciation that he not only speaks words of wisdom, but as a man he embodied wisdom. While his death gained me pardon for my sins, his life inspires me to live without sin through the Spirit, and his resurrection gives me hope of the day when his wisdom is fully justified.
