Leaving Turkana Land Heading to Nairobi
So the plane is coming to get us right now. I think it just landed. We are finishing our time in Lodwar, with the Turkana Tribe. Our time here has been rich.
We have visited the interior people or the people in the bush, people who have been internally displaced from the political violence the last election, we have met the orphans we are helping to support as well as street kids that we hope to support in the future. We have visited many churches, preached in churches, gave food to hungry people, worked through some applications for potential new businesses as well as just tried to bless people in ways we can.
We all feel the deep struggle of needing to develop rhythms of life that keep us involved with helping those who are poor, while always reminding ourselves of our poverty.
I am needing to say good bye to my friends now, but just wanted to give a quick update. We will be in Nairobi for a few days and then head back to Los Angeles. Peace.
