A Timely and Urgent Missional Church Lecture at Fuller – Tomorrow November 11th
My friend Eddie Gibbs just informed me that Graham Cray, who headed the well known Mission Shaped Church Report will be giving a 90-minute must see lecture at Fuller tomorrow (November 11th) afternoon from 3.00 to 4.30 in Payton Hall (and possibly spilling over to Garth) at Fuller Theological Seminary. Eddie tells me “I believe that his message is timely and urgent for the church of North America.” So help get the word out. Here are more details on the theme of this lecture, as well as some of the other lectures happening in the day. Graham’s first lecture actually starts at 10 a.m. in Travis Auditorium on “Cross-Shaped Mission”. If you don’t know where Fuller is, here are the directions.
Graham Cray is passionately concerned for the renewal of the church and its social engagement. He is the former Principles of Ridley Hall, Cambridge, but in close touch with popular culture through his chairmanship of the Greenbelt Arts Festival and leadership of Soul Survior, which now attracts over 20,000 young people. He is the Bishop of Maidstone, caring for the Diocese of Canterbury, yet now leading Fresh Expressions of church reaching out to the never churched.
