Praying with the Psalmist
How foolish it is to deny the existence of God
or to say that God is dead!
And yet so many do so.
They say it in the way they live
if not in the words they speak.
Our great God is forever searching for those
who live their lives for Him.
He is not looking for
verbal professions along
but active, living testimonies of faith.
He sees denial and rebellion in the lives of all people.
What good they do is tainted by sin and self-centeredness.
They are more apt to be destructive than creative.
How foolish they are
to neglect God!
It is obvious that God works
through those who trust Him,
through those who dedicate their lives to His service.
It is they who are set free from self-glory
to enjoy and to serve the living God.
They truly celebrate the eternal presence of God.
