USA vs Canada for Gold – Match at 12:15 p.m. Today
So the last Olympic event is the hockey match between Canada and the USA. My good friend David Fitch said yesterday on facebook, “Tomorrow’s Gold Medal hockey game (U.S. vs Canada) is really a battle between two systems of healthcare. U.S. will lose because it will be worried about paying the ridiculous medical costs back home of “going to the boards.” He is quite the funny Canadian man. Will Clegg in fun commented back saying, “Nope, Canada won’t play as hard because the players could have to wait months to get a doctor’s appointment should they get injured.” I say that while I like the Canadian health care system (I just got a fat hospital bill that I thought my insurance was supposed to take care of), we American’s play with our heart, no matter what the cost. Should be a great match. I wish I were in Chicago to watch it with Fitch. It would be quite the time. Games at 12:15 p.m. It’s the last Olympic event. Also, if you haven’t seen the Stations of the Cost, a commentary anther Canadian friend of mine developed, I would encourage you to check it out, especially during the season of Lent.
