Equipping God's People to Create Missional Culture

LA 2010: Speaker Themes – Jeremiah Caleb

LA 2010 is coming up next weekend on Friday, November 5th and Saturday November 6th.  For a full list of the speakers and details about this UNconference, check out this LA 2010 post. Please RSVP for this event on our facebook event page. We have a seating capacity, so those who register on facebook will have first priority. Here is what Jeremiah Caleb will be addressing.

Title: Ancient Future Discipleship: Following Jesus through Social Justice

Talk in a Sentence: When we walk with the broken and marginalized we empower them to become transformed followers of Jesus.

Talk in a Paragraph: Discipleship is a journey rather than a destination.  Jesus called spiritually and emotionally immature people to follow him.  When we walk along side those with broken stories we join God in playing a part in their transformation.  Their lives in turn become a testimony of grace and hope.

Jeremiah Caleb – is a bi-coastal working actor (will be a guest star on NBC’s “Outsourced” on November 4th so be sure to watch).  He spent his youth on the global mission field with his parents and currently resides in Los Angeles. He serves as one of the pastors at Kairos West LA and outreach to the UCLA community in Westwood.  Jeremiah is also the founder of the Caleb Hope Foundation which sponsors and nurtures destitute orphans in the slums of North India. He is the author of He Walks With Me, a biographical novel chronicling the conversion and ministry of his father, and is pending publication.
