Happy Thanksgiving – More Than a Day
A happy thanksgiving to you!
I’m thankful that we live in a day and age where we can share what is on our heart and mind so freely with people all over the world. It’s amazing! To know that I can connect with you no matter what country or city you live in. I’m thankful for how you visit this blog, connect with me, and share your thoughts with me. I look forward to the day when we will all be at one long table, people from every tribe and tongue, enjoying the feasts of all feasts with the Father, Son and Spirit.
Until that day, days like today give us a glimpse of what is to come. Be sure to invite a few people to your table who have no table to sit at, and no people to eat with. Then enjoy these Thanksgiving poems by Karl Fuchs.
More Than a Day
As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, quite profound.
We may think that we’re poor,
Feel like bums, insecure,
But in truth, our riches astound.
We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from heaven above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We’re wealthy when push comes to shove.
So add up your blessings, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you’ve got;
Realize it’s a lot,
And you’ll make all your cares go away.
Belly Stuffer
Thanksgiving brings a terrible chore,
‘Cause I’m forced to eat and eat some more.
If I don’t eat it up right down to desert,
I fear the cooks feelings will surely be hurt,
So I do my part, even though I suffer;
To be a good guest, I’m a belly stuffer.

Way to confuse the Canadians with that image. (wink)
Hey Jamie. That is funny. I just loved the picture, more from a perspective of fall, but I’m glad it caught your attention. It’s always good connecting with you and other Canadians.
