Reflecting – Part 2
This month is a time to intentionally reflect on the last 20 years of my life in order to get in touch with my primal passions again. I’m using facebook timeline and putting up key kairos moments in my life, so that next month as I move to refocusing, I will have greater discernment in regards to living out my calling in the next phase of my life.
I’m back in LA now. Here is the view from my apartment window from which I am reflecting.
One of the books that I’m reading during my time of reflection is Let Your Life Speak: Listening for the Voice of Vocation by Parker J. Palmer. Here is another quote I’ve been thinking about. “When the gift I give to the other is integral to my own nature, when it comes form a place of organic reality within me, it will renew itself – and me – even as I give it away. Only when I give something that does not grow within me do I deplete myself and harm the other as well, for only harm can come from a gift that is forced, inorganic, unreal.” p. 49,50.
