Protégé: Developing Your Next Generation of Church Leaders by Steve Saccone (July 2012). Community is Messy: The Perils and Promise of Small Group Ministry by Heather Zempel (September 2012). Creating a Missional Culture: Equipping the Church for the Sake of the World
by JR Woodward (September 2012).  Like gravity, the culture of a congregation can either pull people down to their base instincts or lift people up to their sacred potential.  We create culture and culture recreates us.  JR doesn’t call for small tweaks to the church’s image but for recasting of the church’s very culture – beginning with a new vision for discipleship. You can pre-order this book now at Amazon (51% off), B&N (51% off) and IVP (20% off). Here is the table of contents.

The Journey of Ministry: Insights from a Life of Practice by Eddie Gibbs (September 2012). Richard Mouw writes the forward for this book. You can pre-order this book now at Amazon (32% off), B&N (51% off) and IVP (20% off). Here is the table of contents.

Church for the Fatherless: A Ministry Model for Society’s Most Pressing Problem by Mark E. Strong (October 2012). Forty percent of children in the U.S. will go to be tonight in a home without a father.  In Church for the Fatherless Mark explains why churches are uniquely suited to become places of refuge for our nation’s fatherless.  He gives practical ways that churches can be conformed to the image of our loving Father.
