New Hope Children
During our last trip to Kenya, Rachael Swanson was one of the people who came with me. One day we met 15 street kids who spend most of their days at the town dump and scrabble to find a place to sleep at night. Rachael was moved with compassion and within a short time, she and her husband decided they would give each of these kids a new sense of hope, so they took them off the streets and put them in a boarding school on the outskirts of Lodwar. They started New Hope Children, a ministry of Share International.
During our time here in Lodwar this week, we are going to have some time to visit with each of these kids. Rachael’s husband Joshua Swanson is with us this time, as well as his brother Christian. Please keep us in your prayers, and if you find it in your heart to help these street kids, take some time to look at the history of this organization and prayerfully consider getting involved. We might not be able to change the world, but we can change the world for some people. Check out the New Hope Catalog and see how simple it is to help a child in need.
