Why You Should Come to the Inaugural Missio Alliance National Gathering – Part 1
I’m starting a series on why you should come to the first national gathering of the Missio Alliance. If you are a regular reader of this blog, or even just making a visit, I want to be upfront and let you know that I really hope that you can make it to this gathering. It has the possibilities of being a historic gathering of evangelicals for the sake of the world. During each part of my blog series I will give you one reason on why you ought to come to this gathering. I’m not giving the reasons in any hierarchical order.
1. You will be stirred and inspired to foster a deeper theological praxis in mission from some of the leading theologians and practitioners in North America. (Yes, we have a number of significant presenters from Canada)
Just take a minute and look at the list of people who are bringing the wisdom God has given them, the people that we will have time to interact with about important issues that we face on a regular basis in ministry. As you take some time to scroll down the list of presenters, look over their biographies. Notice the variety of experiences and specialties that each bring to the discussion table. Look at the rich tapestry of backgrounds in which people come from that shape their perspective. There are men and women; young, old and in-between; Asian, Hispanic, Black and White. I don’t want to list any names right here, cause I really want you to look through the whole list.
After looking through the complete list of presenters, ask yourself: “Why should I not be at this gathering?” Then consider taking the time to register for this gathering, for the early bird special ends by the end of this month. I hope to see you there.
