Equipping God's People to Create Missional Culture

ViralHope Weekly Update – May 17th, 2010

Here are some highlights about ViralHope: Good News from the Urbs to the Burbs (and everything in between) from this past week and a peek at some interesting news this coming week.

• Amazon sold out of our first shipment, so as you can see from the picture above, yesterday they were just left with one book left. We sent them another order, so if you haven’t had a chance to order ViralHope yet, now is your chance.
Jim Pace (author of Should We Fire God? and I set up a “Book Defacing” event this Wednesday, May 19th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Barnes & Noble @ VCU Bookstore. It was put together fairly quickly, so if you live in the Richmond area, I hope you can come out. I’m here to help with a church planters training, so I would love to see those of you who I know in Richmond as well as some of you I haven’t had the chance to meet yet.
• Billy Williams who blogs @ chanchanchepon wrote a review of ViralHope. Check it out.
• This past week I met up with a team who is working on setting up a book release party in Los Angeles. The working date (which I will confirm later this week) is June 4th, so mark your calendars.

• For those of you who live in Richmond, Virginia or around Richmond, we are having a “Book Defacing Event”. Please come by and visit Jim Pace and I, and if you can, let us know beforehand that you are coming through the facebook event page.
• I’m still considering if we can set up a book signing event in the Washington D.C. area. Let me know if you have an interest.
• I’m talking with various seminary Presidents, professors and so forth about using ViralHope in the classroom. I would love to talk with even more people. Let me know if you have any leads here.
• Each person who is attending the church planters conference here is Richmond will be receiving a free copy of ViralHope. They don’t know it yet, but I hope they like it and spread the hope.
